Problems with the rear view camera have led the automaker to recall the high number of cars. The cameras will now be exchanged.
The second largest US automaker Ford is recalling numerous vehicles in North America due to problems with the rear view camera.
Because of a defect, the cameras could show distorted images or fail completely, Ford warned on Wednesday. However, there are no known accidents related to the problem.
In the USA , a good 620,000 cars built in 2019 and 2020 are affected, including the Explorer, Mustang, Transit, Escape and the F-150 pick-up truck, which is popular in the USA. The recall also includes a good 80,000 cars in Canada and Mexico. The defective cameras are to be replaced by Ford’s authorized dealers.
