FDA Hublot Esports Team in race to the Nürburgring

David Tonizza and Enzo Bonito, bearers of the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA) Hublot Esports Team, are ready to look for heavy points in the third seasonal race of the SRO E-Sport GT Series, the virtual version of the GT World Challenge Europe championship, which is staged this Sunday in the setting of the Nürburgring, in Germany. Professional sim drivers will compete in the Silver Class, while the Pro Class has been reserved for real drivers.

Tonizza and Bonito have done honor in both the championship races held so far, at Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps, to the point that David occupies the third position of the general classification, just four points from the lead duo formed by Patrick Selva (Racing oN3 McLaren) and Andrea Capoccia (GTWR Racing Team Audi). Bonito is instead sixth at nine lengths from the top after the excellent fifth place collected on the Belgian track.

Three more Ferraris

In the Silver class, reserved for professional sim drivers, there will be five Ferraris on the Nürburgring circuit: in addition to the two 488 GT3s lined up by the FDA Hublot Esports Team, there will be three more entrusted to as many private drivers who have qualified in the pre-championship sessions: these are the Italians Manuel Biancolilla (Musto GD eSports) and Moreno Sirica (Williams Esports) as well as the British Keiran Prendergast (MTR Racing).

Pro class

In the Pro class there will be nine Ferrari 488 GT3s. Three will be entrusted to the trio of official drivers deployed by Ferrari Competizioni GT: the Spanish Miguel Molina, the Brazilian Daniel Serra and the Danish Nicklas Nielsen. Two other cars will instead be brought to the track by some well-established Ferrari customers, such as the British Chris Froggatt (Sky Tempesta Racing) and the South African David Perel (Rinaldi Racing). The German Nicolas Hillebrand (Butter-Pal Motorsport), the Russian Maksim Yefanov (Fasttuning) and the Italian David Fumanelli (Kessel Racing) complete the group.

Appointments

The Nürburgring race is scheduled for Sunday 17 May, and will be streamed on the SRO website, on the YouTube platform, on the GT World channel, and on the Ferrari FDAFans and FerrariRaces profiles on Facebook. The green light for Pro riders is scheduled for 2 pm CET, and the silver one for 15:15 CET.
