How to change keyless entry code on Ford F-150 through keypad on door

You might need to change the factory or existing key code for a variety of reasons, for example, you just bought a used truck, or someone you don’t trust came to know your code. Fortunately its very easy to change the code and you can do it right from the the numpad on the door.

Each F-150 vehicle rolls out of assembly with a default key code. To change this code, you will first have to enter the existing five digit code into the keypad on the driver side door. After that, push the 1•2 button and proceed to enter the new code. After you enter the new five digit code into the panel, the doors will lock letting you know that the new code has been accepted by the on-board computer.

There are a few other things you can do with your keypad. First if you want to lock your vehicle while the engine is running and the keys are still inside, press the the 7•8 and 9•0 buttons at the same time to lock the doors.

Entering your key code on the door keypad unlocks the driver’s door, if you press 3•4 button after that, it will unlock the other three doors. And in some equipped vehicles pressing the 5•6 button will lower the tailgate.

I know this post is over a year old, but I need to address this. The default user code from the factory can be changed this way, so can any new user codes. The permanent access code from the factory cannot be changed this way. Anyone who has had access to your SecuriCode card with the factory code on it, can still access your vehicle, no matter if you change the user access code using this tutorial.
