Mitsubishi Triton GLXR, 2007 keeps stopping for no obvious reason

Hey everybody really hope I can get some help here. For the last 2 years we have had nothing but trouble with this car. It just stops, we get maybe 10 seconds warning where it starts spluttering and then just stops. It will usually start again once it's cooled down but with your foot to the floor it's lucky to go more than 5km/hr. After a few hours though it will generally start without issues and runs like a dream for a few weeks/months before it happens again. We have spent so much money at the mechanics and nothing. It's not throwing out any codes to indicate there's any problems and pretty much everyone is stumped. So I'm writing this on the side of the road waiting for a tow, if anyone has any idea at all please let me know!!

I know this sounds stupid but have you checked the coolant or the thermostat? Might need replaced, sounds like it's overheating.

Yep, that was one of the first things they checked, all oils, coolants etc have been replaced as a precautionary step. Definitely not overheating as sometimes the car hasn't been running long enough to heat up. Thank you for replying though.

I actually have a friend with an 06 infiniti 35x that has this same issue and I'm trying to figure it out. Car stalls randomly, especially if it's on any sort of incline.
