I had the following problem with my Audi A5 1.8 TFSI. When idling, the engine jerks at around 1000 revolutions, the crankcase ventilation was replaced and the camshaft sensor error was read out.

The engine control warning lights up.

I think this late adjustment could indicate an elongated chain if the sensors have already been replaced.

Chain elongation or defective camshaft adjustment, both are possible. For me it was the camshaft adjustment and the entire camshafts were exchanged because the adjuster on the CJEB engine is not interchangeable. The chain and tensioner were the cause of a friend. Both are extremely expensive at Audi.
