My Camry has been occasionally shuttering/vibrating when I accelerate/maintain speed. It's more just the slight acceleration to maintain speed that I notice it but I feel it in the gas pedal. It doesn't do it when braking either (just had rear rotors and front pads changed as maintenance).

I checked all my fluids and everything seems to be at an adequate level as well. Car has 90,000 miles and has only ever been in a minor fender bender (someone backed into my rear left corner in a parking lot) and it was happening before that incident anyhow. Current tires are a little less than half worn and I also recently had an alignment. The only other thing I can say is that it has been getting more frequent as of late.

Thoughts on how to proceed? Obviously I'll take it in but I want to have something of an idea before I go in.

Not an expert by any means, but perhaps it's engine misfires?

Does your dashboard do anything (flashing various indicator lights, check engine light, etc.?) during/after the issue?

No dash lights at all, actually. Good thought. So possibly in need of some new plugs or a tune up?

Do you have an odb2 reader? Maybe even without a CEL there's some info stored.

If it's not too much trouble, maybe you could pull all your spark plugs and see if any are fouled up?

I don't have one of those but I could go to the nearest auto store and see if they can read it for free. I think Auto Zone does this?

Yeah, auto parts stores will read codes for free

Good luck!

Perhaps it's shifting/transmission wear?

It seems to happen when remaining in the same gear so I'm not sure. Typically when maintaining around 35-45 miles per hour.

Same problem, is the transmission this model has a recall for a transmission issue makes vibrations between 20 and 50 miles at 1500rpm

Just curious to see if you figured out what was going on...my car is doing the same exact thing. The description you gave as far as the speed when it does it and everything reminds me of my car and for the life of me, we can’t figure it out.

>My 2012 camry does the same thing. So is it that fault they all come with.?

Mine is doing the exact same thing. 2020 Toyota Camry, haven’t even had it 2 months. Got it balanced 2 times in the last week and it’s still doing it. Seems to be worse when the car has been sitting for some time. Someone please give their expert input if you have it. I’m so frustrated and have no clue what could be wrong.

My 2012 Toyota Camry se has the same vibration that you describe. Its been doing it for some time now and seems to be more often, but once I travel a few minutes it goes away.

Did you find a solution?

Spark plugs!!! Guarantee it. Change all spark plugs issue will be gone! If by chance it doesn't O2 sensor upstream prob need replacing
