Title says it. Door panel is off, played with the mechanical system in the door and everything seems to move properly. I believe the little latch that holds the door tight to the body of the car is my problem (obviously), It is either broken and not connected to either door lever system, or stuck. I will replace it. It is not locked. I just want this god damn door open. Find attached a picture from inside the door panel, looking backwards at the latch. Can I access the latch in anyway? TIA.

I did this on a nissan versa and the rod near the latch wasn't fastened in the right spot. It took me awhile because I would think it was in and the door would work a few times then it would come loose again. It snapped in place real tight when it finally worked. It's easy to miss so take a look and make sure all the rods are fastened tight.

I'm not sure how I can get at it to make sure it is/ isn't fastened?

For me it was because the indented part of the rod tip wasnt in the ridge. It's hard to explain in text. Seems pretty unlikely both inside and outside latches would need replacing. Sorry if I couldn't be much help.
