My new C-Class, as AMG Line, now has 11K km. The brakes started to rub slightly after 4k km, but not regularly. At first thought it was because of the winter tires but with summer tires there was no improvement.

Today I had my first long drive (900 km) for months and now the brake rubs with every braking action on the highway. The car vibrates slightly, it comes from the front. You notice it most strongly when you brake relatively lightly, I pedal a little harder then the vibrations subside.

I have already made an appointment at Mercedes.

I know it's a known issue with the E-Class, but is the C-Class affected too?

Had this problem too. Brake discs with pads renewed front and rear. And that at 7900 km and 18 months.

Now everything is fine, hopefully it will stay that way.

Something like that happens with defective brake discs, why didn't you go to Mercedes?

They should also give the brakes on the new car.

I see this quite often in the forums, such problems affect many new / fresh cars.

The quality is really not good, my Made in China brake discs last 100,000km and pads 25,000km

We already had the problem with our convertible with AMG Line: in our car it was the front ones. And that even at 10,000km on the speedometer.

At first it was assumed by the workshop that the rear brake discs were not getting better, but after the rear brake discs had been replaced.

After renewing the front there was silence again. Unfortunately, it starts again easily, now at 30,000km on the clock.

Next we will try the 345mm Brembo discs from the accessories instead of the original brake discs.

In our car, the wheels have not been removed until the first brake disc change. So it cannot be due to an incorrect wheel change.
