2014 Honda Civic EX. What's the size of the front caliper bolt, which screws into the pins? Attempted to change my pads and rotors today, and the caliper bolts snapped. Someone suggested the 8 x 1.0 bolts with 25 thread at Lowes. Would those hold up?

Also, I zip-tied the caliper to the axle part and attached the wheel back on so I could push my car into my garage. I pressed the brake to turn it on and pressed it several times since I didn't get any feel before I put it in neutral. I only disassembled one wheel. Also how do I get the broken piece out the caliper pins? Did I **** it up? I have to move out by next week; I'm so stressed.

Once the bolts are snapped off you need new guide pins (which come with new bolts).

I believe what you need is Raybestos H15103 which costs $9

hondapartsnow.com should have the bolts and pins. I doubt a dealer will have it in stock, but they might be able to get it faster (and for more money). You can also try a parts store. Sometimes they have a help section with generic stuff, but you might be sick replacing the caliper bracket (if they sell that separately).

Damn, none of the online suppliers are shipping fast enough even for expedited.
