Due to lockdown, I've barely driven my car since February. As a result, it still has half a tank of petrol that's been in there for 3 months.

Assuming the old petrol is not as good for the car as new petrol, would it be better to pump in extra fuel to compensate or burn off the remaining fuel and refuel an empty tank with fresh fuel? Thanks!

3 months isn't enough for fuel to go stale enough to notice.

Start to worry about old gas after 6 months, 3 is fine.

Post back once it's been a year. If you're worried, dump some stabilizer in it.
