Looking for my next car, I tested the Grand Cherokee with my family yesterday. Important: I am 6.4 tall, 95kg heavy and my two sons are almost as tall as I am.
I drove the car for about 1 hour and found that I could not find a favorable position for the "gas foot", so that it could remain relaxed, with gentle pressure on the accelerator pedal. Due to my size, the leg hangs in the air and does not lie on the seat, the center console hardly offers any support. The seat was set back as far as it was technically possible and as tall as my size allowed, so that the passenger still had room for the legs behind the driver (which was just enough).
I would be interested, do other large Grand Cherokee drivers ( over 6 feet ) have similar experiences, or were you able to find a good, relaxed position (with an equally large passenger behind the driver)?
The test car (1200km run) became uncomfortably restless from 150 km / h (20 "tires) - is it "normal"? (I know that it is an off-road vehicle and not an urban SUV)
Furthermore, it should be added that the kids complained about the too hard and too small headrests in the back seat. (The car is apparently primarily designed so that you can flip the back seat at the push of a button and then throw your golf bag comfortably in the back). Overall, I was amazed at how little space there was in such a big car.
PS. To the Grand Cherokee drivers: Please do not consider this a personal attack on your choice! It is written from the perspective of a tall family man. I am aware that many of you with less height and alone in the car feel very comfortable, strong, tall, sporty and superior to everyone ...
