Hello Community, I have a question, not necessarily S5 / A5 specific, but since I drive one: if you open the driver's door on my S5 (Bj. 2014) with the engine running or the ignition switched on while stationary, which I sometimes do, it starts to beep dramatically, as if I was doing something seriously wrong or dangerous. Really annoying. Can you somehow reprogram it? Just as annoying: if you turn on the engine, the radio also turns on. I want to decide that myself. Is there a way to change that here?

You can turn off the beep by pressing the lower switch button on the right wiper lever.

I can not tell you whether or how you can set that the radio / media does not start when the vehicle starts. But I can imagine that there is a setting option hidden in the menu.

With my 2010 SB there is nothing beeping and the engine continues to run when I open the door. It only beeps when I get out with the engine not running and the parking light (so forgot the turn signal) is on. Otherwise only the seat belt beep will beep if I don't fasten my seat belt fast enough. But I didn't code anything away either. Why is it not beeping with me? Not that I would miss it, but I would be interested ...
