Got bored in lockdown, decided to change oil and filter in my car, all went well apart from when i had finished draining my oil, the threads on the inside of the sump were toast. Struggled to get the bolt in and couldn't get it tight, now 3 days after there is still a very slow leak from my sump. While car part suppliers are still open, none of them sell the exact sump i need(link below) as it has to come from Alfa. What kind of temporary/long term fixes are available to me?

Re-tap the sump plug hole and fit a slightly larger sump plug. You should be able to get a tool to re-thread it to a specific size and therefore the right sized plug.

Use a torque wrench when doing up the new plug to avoid over tightening again

Alternately you can use a sealant and bodge it sealed but it may be tough to get it out for the next oil change.

Could also look at the oversized drain plugs. They are supposed to cut new threads. Not too expensive.
