The vehicle has been sitting in my driveway for a year not doing anything. I had to replace the battery because i took it to autozone to test it and it would not hold a charge. Got a new one and all the electric and heater came on but when i try to start it, there is a long sound a couple seconds and then a sound, a really slow sound like its trying to catch but not trying very hard. I'm not sure how to describe it, I'm hard of hearing :).

What should i check at this point to get it drivable? Because it was drivable when i parked it. It just had a fluid leak from one or both of the power steering lines.

Check your grounds, and power connections, make sure it is clean bare metal. You may have a poor connection internally in your starter. You could try firmly tapping the starter with something metal, while someone tries to crank it.
