Our polo has been doing strange things for a year. The warning light for the lighting suddenly comes on. If you then immediately switch off the engine and start again, the engine "rolls" quite a bit until it starts. If you continue to drive briefly with the warning light, then switch it off, then it starts normally.

If the symbol lights up, the battery can suddenly run out after a night.

It is not understandable when the lamp comes on, the battery has already been tested, the lamps have already been replaced .... we and our workshop have failed to find a solution... If anyone has an idea, we would be very grateful.

On my Ibiza 6J, BJ 2013, so similar in construction, it was ultimately a defective rear light that made the warning light come on sporadically, otherwise I had no other problems.

Has the charging voltage of the alternator been measured apart from the battery?

Is there nothing in the error memory? And if so, some errors can also be due to a, sometimes low, on-board voltage.

A bad ground contact or a wobble in any cable could also be considered.
