My throttle linkage on the 300SE w126 without ASR has been so stiff for some time that you get pain in your feet when driving on the motorway for a long time.

It also seems to take gas very late, for example if you press more than 5cm.

On the one hand, my accelerator pedal seems to have a broken bearing when it connects to the accelerator linkage. I will replace that. That probably explains the lengthened path, but certainly not the stiffness.

I greased and cleaned the linkage as much as possible, but the problem seems to be due to a spring, since I work against a spring when I hold it down and not against the dirt in the linkage.

I noticed a spring around the mounting axis of the sheet with the recess (No. 13 in the WIS). See also my picture with the marking.

This feather is not registered in the WIS. Does this belong there?

The reset of the throttle valve works anyway via the spring on the throttle valve and the pedal via the pedal spring.

The spring is very well represented in my EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue). It is part A1160720240. On the other hand, I am surprised by your statement that you have greased everything well. I see in your photo several joints that have to do with the throttle linkage, where no drop of oil can be seen. Above all, think of the ball pans. I would start there ...

Apart from that, you write that something is broken and therefore you have a longer pedal movement. I would also see that as a potential reason for the stiffness.

I have now received a new pedal from Mercedes and will install and test it at the WE. I now suspect that the problem was more the wrong angle, due to the broken old pedal and therefore unfavorable leverage.

The photo was taken before my lubrication, it now looks a little less dry.
