Yesterday i drove for an hour in my 2006 Hyundai sonata 4cyl. 138000 miles. And when i parked i noticed smoke coming out of the front grill. I opened the hood and it looked like the cooling fan wasn't working but i couldn't tell because it was dark and raining. The car was not over heating temp gauge read normal. Any idea what this would be? Would replacing the fan help?

Any help is appreciated!

Start the car tomorrow morning (or when its not raining) and observe the front of the engine at the radiator. Wait a while for the engine to come to operating temp. Inspect the radiator while waiting. If you see steam even when it's not raining, shut the car off. There should not be copious amounts of steam at any time coming from the front of your engine.

I drove the car today for a half hour and the engine was not smoking so maybe it was from the rain?

Seems likely that was the case

If you're not getting a engine temp warning light I think your cooling fan is fine. Considering it was raining, it could just be water evaporating from a hot engine in the event you might have driven over a large puddle or something.
