I have a BMW e81 120i built in 2007 and the vehicle had a damaged driver door that can no longer be repaired, so I got a used door from classified ads from an E81 of the same year. So I disconnected the battery, removed the old door, installed the used everything and connected the gaps roughly. Then the battery was reconnected but the window lifter does not move, the window is fully retracted, I should also mention that the door was complete except for the door panel, so I only had to convert the lock and attach my own door panel, I also got it from before Seller had the door checked for function, he plugged it into his E81 (battle vehicle) and it worked without problems.

The passenger side can only be raised by the passenger controller and there is no reaction from the driver side either.

I read something about initializing / learning but found no specific instructions.

Or is there a completely different approach?

I would appreciate helpful information.

Does your vehicle have electrically folding mirrors? The new door will have a different wiring harness and switch in it than your old door! There are different versions.

Must take everything from your old door. (Wiring harness, mirror, window switch)

The vehicle has no electrically retractable mirrors, I'll think about it, the old door is still there, maybe I'll rebuild the innards in the days.

Today I took the wiring harness from the old door, now it works as it should :)
