Recently replaced the O2 sensor and now the check engine light comes on after driving for 30-45 minutes followed by the cruise control.

I have a basic diagnostic tester that reads P1153

P1153 code in Subaru means O2 sensor high output bank 1. You should troubleshoot the sensor first, could be due to bad wire or connection not fully seated from the replacement job. You can sometimes also get this code due to clogged up catalytic converter, but in this case you should be facing slow acceleration issues.
