How serious is PO420 in a Nissan rogue 2013?

Check engine light came on and took car to auto zone for diagnosis. Result was catalyst system below theshold Bank 1. How serious is this?

Most likely a bad catalytic converter or O2 sensor is bad. Not serious, unless the converter is getting clogged in which case you will face severe slow acceleration issues.

If there are no symptoms of poor acceleration, then the worst that can happen is you will fail emissions test.
