You may have ran your fuel system totally dry. Turn the ignition to on position (without starting the engine) and keep it on for 15 seconds or more. Do this multiple times (4-5 times at first). The fuel pump will run each time and refill the entire fuel system. After that, try starting the car. If it doesn't work, repeat the process.
If this doesn't work after multiple tries, you may have burned up the fuel pump by running it totally dry. Fuel pumps use fuel for cooling. Running it dry can cause overheating. So you may have to replace the fuel pump if that is the case.
