Hyundai Tucson Automatic Premium cost of replacing faulty EPC this is not stuck

Question

The electronic handbrake is not stuck the light does not come on so will fail the due MOT. I do not understand why it will fail as my car is automatic and does not roll or move when stationary. Any advice please ?

Its not good practice to only park your vehicle with transmission in P. If parked on steep incline, it can fail. And repeatedly parking your vehicle without using parking brakes can damage your transmission in the long run.

Thankyou I do know that but being an automatic it does not move or roll  even on a steep incline when in parking mode.
