When bought, was driving poor at 50 little misfires . Put new alternator and new cv joint. Had to replace the 1 and 4 sillinoid. Started the rig and still sounds like no gas getting to it . When now it sounds good started driving it and will not go past 15 and slows down rpm rev up but only works here and there. No check light on ever .
When I drove at 55 and came home started it up  and it drove two miles then lost speed and couldn’t accelerate so now what

I had this happen to my 2009 Civic a while back. It would accelerate very poorly above 20 mph. Replaced all spark plugs and cleaned MAF sensor, but it did not have any affect. Check engine light was also off. Took it to a workshop and it turned out to be a clogged catalytic converter. After I replaced the catalytic converter, it drove like new. So I would suggest you to first get your cat checked.

Alternator has nothing to do with slow acceleration, its main purpose is to charge the battery. This type of slow acceleration behavior where its difficult for the vehicle to get past a certain speed is usually caused by a clogged catalytic converter. The exhaust gases get trapped suffocating the engine.

Poor fuel supply can also cause this issue, for example due to clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump, or bad fuel injectors.
