By default, interior lights illuminates when you open the door on Ford Explorer. You can't turn them off, there is no button or switch to turn them off. This is standard feature on many Ford vehicles and a lot of people have been asking to disable it. Some Ford owners have fixed this issue, but by fiddling with wires. For example, you can disable interior lighting with door open by cutting a specific wire under the center console on Ford Escape. This solution is obviously not recommended, unless you're really desperate.
