Does a simple sports exhaust (ESD) produce more power?

I ask the question in another way: If I just screw a sports exhaust (esd) to my car and don't change anything else, will the car get more power, and if so, how much? E.g. with a BMW 320i E36 with normal 150ps.

It doesn't matter whether it's a sports exhaust or not, It depends on which exhaust is matched to the engine (or the other way around).

Small example: if you build a super hyper extreme exhaust on your car, but this has too high a back pressure, the performance is more likely to decrease.

The other way round. If you take a "normal" exhaust, but it is matched to the engine, you increase the performance.

No, you will hardly increase the performance with it. There is much more to improving performance than just replacing the rear silencer. If you put the M3 badge on it, will it go faster?
