I would be interested if anyone of you has long-term experience with the BMW 318i E90 143 PS N43B20 engine ... (workshop visits). This machine is said to have a few technical errors. It is not only installed in the 318i but also in the 118i, for example . Write me your rating whether you can recommend the "engine" or not and why.

I strongly advise against the N43B20 engine.

Correctly the engine has several weak points. Another big minus is that the engine does not have a dipstick and is only measured electronically by a sensor. This means that if the sensor is defective, you will not notice it and if you then have too little oil in the vehicle, you risk engine damage.
